How Advising Works

There are multiple sources of information available to our majors. You can maximize your advisement experience by doing the following:

Read your @udel.edu email & Blue Hen Success notifications

• Our advising team will email majors about group advising sessions, upcoming deadlines, and other important information.
• This information will also be delivered by the CAS Student Success Center (the Assistant Dean’s Office for the College of Arts & Sciences) through Blue Hen Success.

When you have an advising question

• Review the information on this website. We aim to answer most questions right here!
  
• Check your Degree Audit in UDSIS. It gives you a rough estimate of your progress. (Click here to learn more about the features of UDSIS – an important tool!)
  

• Meet with an advisor for help. We have multiple advisors for different types of issues. See below for a list and click on the links for more information.
  • Our Academic Advisor and Academic Program Manager can help you plan courses, solve registration problems, and refer you to additional resources.
  • The Neuroscience advisor can answer questions specifically about the Neuroscience curriculum and careers.
  • Faculty advisors and the Director of Advising can talk with you about big-picture issues like graduate school plans and career options.
